You get really good at ignoring workplace red flags when you have limited options. And one job sticks out to me for all of its crimson banners: the corporate retreat that turned out to be a rage room, the closets masquerading as breastfeeding hideouts that I soon learned were for crying, the 24-hour window I was given to go to New York City for a day of training and make it back to Pittsburgh in time for work the next morning.
